Both value the roots of this extraordinary sport to explore new horizons, believe in the strength to never give up in the face of difficulties and to face challenges with determination, to experience the hardship and joy of the endeavor, to be active witnesses of a discipline in continuous evolution.

Eroica was born in Tuscany, in Gaiole in Chianti, as a non-competitive cycling event inspired by classic cycling, capable of attracting thousands of athletes and enthusiasts from all over the world. A mix of tourism and tradition to spend days in freedom in the enchanting Tuscan hills.

Created from the ingenious idea of Giancarlo Brocci, it has taken place in Chianti, the Crete Senesi, and the Val d’Orcia since 1997, roads and paths that have made the history of this sport. It has the peculiarity of reviving the cycling of yesteryear, with routes that take place largely on gravel and dirt roads with vintage bikes and clothing.

Routes far from traffic and confusion, always immersed in nature: not just a race but a true journey through breathtaking landscapes, culture, history, fine wine, and food, evoking the era of Gino Bartali. Today, Eroica, in both the Classic and NOVA formats, addresses the heroic cycling of the past, looking to the future, respecting identity and environment, in search of the true roots of a great sport like cycling.
