The Italian title, the European title and the victory in the Queen of the Classics, Paris-Roubaix: Sonny Colbrelli was the protagonist of a truly unforgettable season. Sidi decided to capture the emotions of his most beautiful victories on the upper of his Wire 2, a shoe to which the champion is particularly faithful.
‘Never change a winning shoe,' Sonny Colbrelli smiled as he received his new pair of Wire 2 bearing the two titles he won this season. ‘I was spoilt for choice when it came to the new design, I had more than 10 sketches in front of me and it wasn't easy to choose, they were all so beautiful. It's amazing how Sidi is always so attentive and always does everything possible to meet my needs. I am really happy to be working with them. The Wire 2 is right up my alley. I have a great feeling with this shoes as they suit my feet and my needs perfectly. I can't wait to wear them, they look great!' he concludes.
During his last visit to Sidi's headquarters in Maser (Treviso, Italy), Colbrelli had lingered over the drafts choosing the graphics that characterize the white upper of the Wire 2: the stripes and the stars of the European championship now wrap the lower part - just above the Sidi logo - while the Italian championship stays on the upper side. As per tradition, the shoe is handcrafted in Italy and is uniquely developed for the needs and the shape of the Brescian champion's foot.
"It's a real honour for us to have created this shoe that encapsulates two of the most beautiful victories of this year," commented Rosella Signori. "It's been a historic season and we couldn't help but honour it with these graphics that are sure to stand out in the peloton. We can't wait to see Sonny back in action next year."

Wire 2 Carbon is made from the highest quality eco-friendly materials.
The upper of the Wire 2 Carbon is made of Microfibre Tech Pro, which is durable, stable and lightweight. The shoe is equipped with two closures that guarantee precise adjustment and a high level of comfort. The central mechanism, Single Tecno 3 Push, creates a perfect balance of tension between the inner and outer parts. The same type of rotor is also applied to the upper part and ensures that the shoe is secured along its entire length, thanks also to the Soft Instep Closure - 4, a soft shaped strap that distributes pressure evenly, avoiding the use of a spacer. The ultra-light Vent Carbon sole, handmade in woven carbon fibre, maximises rigidity while maintaining the right degree of flexibility needed to best transfer pedalling power and avoid stressing the plantar tendons by promoting microcirculation.
