The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team trio of Sylvain Guintoli, Gregg Black and Xavier Simeon claimed the 17th title in the team's history, the first under the new Yoshimura SERT name.

The race, won by BMW in a sprint by just 70 seconds, was a pure spectacle. Starting with Gregg Black's holeshot at the start, the race was dominated by the winning team for six long hours in which practically everything happened.

YART's comeback, TRT27's crash, and then Yuki Takahashi's crash forced a big job to recover.  The engine of the VRD Igol team goes up in smoke after 145 laps and it is here that SERT mathematically conquers its 17th world title, crossing the finish line in third position.

"The world of Endurance has always given us a lot of satisfaction," commented Rosella Signori. "It's a discipline full of surprises and twists, as well as being highly adrenaline-filled, a characteristic that has always driven Sidi to stand by these champions and support them in every facet of the action. The Suzuki Endurance team are a true legend: they have literally dominated the scene for seventeen years and we share these successes with particular pride."
