What is your first memory of the Giro d'Italia?

The first one was the finishing stage in Cecina in 1985, Saronni won. I was eleven.

A great popular festival. But that is four! Well, then I’d say: emotional, discovery and travelling.


What is your best experience at the Giro?

Undoubtedly the moment when I got the pink jersey, in Tropea, in 2005
